WHEREAS, on September 3, 1976, the City of Beaumont, did file
with the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the
amount of $18.00, including costs of recording, covering Lot 12, Block
55, Cartwright Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas, which said lien is recorded in the M & L Records of said County
in Volume 1401 at Page 495; and,
WHEREAS, on May 31, 1976, the City of Beaumont, did -file with
the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the
amount of $9.67, including costs of recording, covering Lot 1, Block 4,
McAnelly Place Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
which said lien is recorded in the M & L Records of said County in
Volume 1483 at Page 308; and,
WHEREAS, Arthur Turner, Jr., and Earl C. and Murl Schlicher,
respectively, are the owners of said above properties and desire to pay
to the City of Beaumont the monies represented by said lien and have
same released to them;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT Ken Ritter, Mayor, be and he is hereby, authorized to execute and
deliver to the said above-mentioned persons a release of the above-described
liens for and in consideration of the sums aforementioned, receipt of which
is hereby acknowledged, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest
to same and to affix the Seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
