WHEREAS, the acquisition of land in the Dowlen Road Project
is essential to the necessary outfall easements for the improvement
of Dowlen Road and the property for the necessary outfall easements
is hereby declared to bea municipal purpose and its acquisition is
considered in the best interest of the citizenry of The City of
Beaumont; and.,
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered an appraisal re-
port estimating the fair market value of the parcels to be acquired
for said outfall easements and has determined and approved the offer
that should be made to the owner of each parcel;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, directed to commence
negotiations with the property owners of the hereinabove described
land as may be necessary for the hereinabove described purpose, and
in accordance with the offers directed by the City Council, to the
end that The City of Beaumont shall acquire said right-of-way neces-
sary to accomplish said purpose and to the further end that property
owners thereof shall receive the fair cash value for their property.
