RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, informal bids were received for furnishing 6,000 feet
of 2" x 8" x 12' and 9,000 feet of 2" x 8" x 16' shoring lumber for
the Sewer Maintenance Department; and,
WHEREAS, Marine Lumber Company of Houston, Texas submitted a
bid in the amount of One Thousand Three Hundred Fifty and No/100
($1,350.00) Dollars for said shoring lumber for the Sewer Maintenance
Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted
by Marine Lumber Company of Houston, Texas is the lowest and best bid
and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Marine Lumber Company in the amount of $1,350.00 be
accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City official'is
hereby authorized to make payment for said shoring lumber upon accept-
able delivery.
