RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received for an annual contract for the
furnishing of truck, heavy equipment and farm tires and recapping and
repairing tires for the period May 1, 1976, through April 30., 1977; and,
WHEREAS, the City .Manager recommends that these contracts be awarded
to Jack's Tire Service and Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company based upon the
individual tire size as itemized on the attached exhibits;_ and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager has reconmiended that Jack's Tire Service
be awarded the contract for recapping and repair of tires for said _annual
period;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract
with Jack's Tire Service for the annual period May 1, 1976, through April 30,
1977, for the furnishing of certain truck, heavy equipment and faun tires as
shown on the attached Exhibit "A"; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute a contract with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for the annual
period May 1, 1976, through April 30, 1977, for the furnishing of truck,
heavy equipment and farm tires as shown on the attached Exhibit "B"; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appropriate City official is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with Jack's Tire Service for the annual
period May 1, 1976, through April 30, 1977, for the recapping and repair
of tires as necessary by the City of Beaumont;. and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
attest to said contracts and to affix the seal of the City of Beaumont
thereto.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
day of 1976.
