RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute an agreement with
Southern Pacific Transportation Company for the reimbursement by the City of
Beaumont to Southern Pacific Transportation Company for the total cost of con-
struction of a timber crossing and the installation of railroad flasher signals
and gates where the tracts of Southern Pacific Transportation Company cross
Lavaca Street just east of Bob Street. The estimated cost for said railroad
track crossing is Forty -Seven Thousand One Hundred Fifty and No/100 ($47,150.00)
Dollars. The appropriate City official is hereby authorized to forward to the
Southern Pacific Transportation Company an amount equal to 80 percent of the
estimated cost as set out herein and upon execution of the herein described
agreement by the Mayor. Appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to
pay to Southern Pacific Transportation Company the actual cost of construction
of said railroad crossing upon receipt of the final invoice, said cost not to
exceed $47,150.00.
