RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of various swimming
pool chemicals for the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, Thompson -Hayward submitted a bid in the amount of One
Hundred Ninety -Eight and No/100 ($198.00) Dollars for liquid chlorine,
Van Waters & Rogers submitted a bid in the amount of One Hundred Five and
No/100 ($105.00) Dollars for soda ash, Cart Company, Inc. submitted a bid
in the amount of One Thousand Four Hundred Ninety -Eight and 75/100
($1,498.75) Dollars for HTH, McKesson Chemical Company submitted a bid in
the amount of Fifty -Seven and 05/100 ($57.05) Dollars for aluminum and A.
E. Stein Company, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of One Thousand Six
Hundred Eighteen and 65/100 ($1,618.65) Dollars for bronin for the Parks &
Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted
by Thompson -Hayward, Van Waters & Rogers, Cart Company, Inc., McKesson
Chemical Company and A. E. Stein Company, Inc. are the lowest and best bids
and should be accepted:
NOW, THERE'F'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Thompson -Hayward in the amount of $198.00, Van Waters &
Rogers in the amount of $105.00, Cart Company, Inc. in the amount of
$1,498.75, McKesson Chemical Company in the amount of $57.05 and A. E. Stein
Company, Inc. in the amount of $1,618.65 be accepted by the City of Beaumont,
and the appropriate City official is hereby authorized to make payment for
said swimming pool chemicals upon acceptable delivery.
