WHEREAS.,.bids were -received for furnishing Transit.
System Equipment as funded by the Urban Mass Transit Associ-
ationy, said equipment to be used in maintenance and operation
of the Transit. System; and,
WHEREAS, Kent -Moore Corporation submitted a bid.in the
amount of.One .Thousand Six Hundred.Thirty-Five-and 80/100
($1,635.80) Dollars for air conditioning and braking equipment,
Washtronics, Ltd. submitteda bid in.the amount of Sixteen
Thousand Seven�Hundred Fifty.and.No/100 ($-16,750.00) Dollars
for.four .(4).portable hoists and Akron ,Coin Counting Company
submitted a bid in the amount of Four.Thousand.Four Hundred
Ninety -Six and 50%100 ($4,:49.6.50) Dollars for a coin sorter
to be used .in maintenance and.operation of.the Transit System;
and,
WHEREAS,..the City Council is of the opinion that.the
bids submitted by -Kent -Moore Corporation,..Washtronics, Ltd.,
and.Akron Coin Counting Company were the lowest and best bids
received and should be accepted; and,
WHEREAS., theCityCouncil is of the opinion that the
bids submitted.for the engine rebuilding stand,.power plant
dolly,transmission dolly and:two service vehicles should be
rejected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF.BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Kent -Moore Corporation in the amount of
$1635.80, Washtronics,: Ltd..in the amount of $16,750.00 and
Akron Coin .Counting Company.in the amount of $4,496.50 be
acceptedby the City.of Beaumont,. and the appropriate City
. official is hereby authorized.to make payment for said.equip-
ment upon property delivery.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bids submitted for
the engine rebuilding stand, power plant dolly,-. transmission
dolly and two service vehicles are hereby rejected.
