WHEREAS, the State Board of Insurance has agreed to a
rate increase for fire and extended coverage insurance; and
WHEREAS, the City's Insurance Committee.has recommended
to the City that its existing fire and extended coverage policy
be cancelled and that a new three year policy be purchased
in order to achieve lower rates;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY.OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
cancel the existing fire and extended coverage policy of the
City of Beaumont and to..purchase a.new.three year policy.
