RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing compact cars, full-
size cars, and police cars for use in various City departments; and,
WHEREAS, Beaumont Motor Company submitted a bid in the amount of
Fifteen Thousand Eight Hundred Forty -Eight and No/100 ($15,848.00) Dollars
for four (4) compact cars for use in various City departments; and,
WHEREAS, Myron Gray submitted a bid in the amount of Thirty -One
Thousand Four Hundred Ten and 80/100 ($31,410.80) Dollars for seven (7)
full-size cars for use in various City departments; and
WHEREAS, Kinsel Ford, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of
Seventy -Five Thousand Two Hundred Thirteen and No/100 ($75,213.00) Dollars
for fifteen (15) police cars for use in various City departments; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted
by Beaumont Motor Company, Myron Gray and Kinsel Ford, Inc. are the best bids
and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid_, from Beaumont Motor Company in the amount of $15,848.00 for
four (4) compact cars and the bid from Myron Gray,in the amount of $31,410.80
for seven (7) full-size cars and the bid from Kinsel Ford, Inc. in the amount
of $75,213.00 for fifteen (15) police cars be accepted by the City of Beaumont,
and the appropriate City official is hereby authorized to make payment for said
compact cars, full-size cars and police cars upon proper delivery.
