RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute the contract
amendment attached hereto and made a part of this resolution for all purposes;
said contract amendment amending the existing agreement between the City of
Beaumont and the Beaumont Independent School District creating a joint tax
agency known as the Beaumont Tax Collection Agency, said agreement executed
September 23, 1975.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
attest to said contract amendment.

CONTRACT AMENDMENT
WHEREAS the City of Beaumont, organized and existing as a "home
rule city" under the laws of the State of Texas, hereinafter called "City"
and the Beaumont Independent School District, hereinafter called "District"
entered into a contract on.September 23, 1975 creating a joint tax agency
known as the Beaumont Tax Collection Agency; and,
WHEREAS City and District desire to amend said contract and do
hereby agree as follows:

Paragraphs 5(b) and 6(a) of said contract are hereby omitted from
said contract.

Paragraph 6(f) of said contract is hereby omitted and in place of
said contract shall be a new paragraph 6(f) to read as follows:
6(f): The City shall provide the following employees:
(1) One Attorney, Grade 21;
(2) One Senior Tax Technician, Grade 17;
(3) One Tax Clerk, Grade 11;
(4) Three Clerk Typist, Grade 4.
These employees shall be paid in accordance with the City's approved
and published personnel classification and compensation plan.
The City and District shall each provide one-half (1/2) the salary
and benefits of these employees. Each party's share of personnel cost shall
be approximately Nineteen Thousand Eight Hundred and No/100 ($19,800.00)
Dollars for the period February 15, 1976, through September 30, 1976, payable
as follows: One Thousand Three Hundred Twenty and No/100 ($1,320.00) Dollars
due and payable by each party February 15, 1976, and Two Thousand Six
Hundred Forty and No/100 ($2,660.00) Dollars due and payable by each party
on the first day of each month thereafter.
