R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, -the acquisition of land along and on either side of
Dowlen Road -is essential to the widening, location,construction and
maintenance of Dowlen Road and is hereby declared to be a municipal
purpose and its acquisition is considered in the best interest of the
City of Beaumont; and,'
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered an appraisal report
estimating the fair market value of the parcels to be acquired and has
determined and approved the offer that should be made to the owner of
each parcel;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF'BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, directed to commence nego-
tiations with the property owners of the hereinabove described land as
may be necessary for the hereinabove described purpose, and in accor-
dance with the offers directed by the City Council,, to the end that the
City of Beaumont shall acquire said right-of-way necessary to accomplish
said purpose and to the further end that.propert_y owners .thereof shall
recei.t.Te the fair.cash value for their property.
