RESOLUTION
WHEREAS on October 20, 1972, the City of Beaumont contracted with
the Beaumont Economic Development Foundation for the purpose of advertising
and promoting the City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS said contract provides that it might be renewed and ex-
tended by the written agreement of the City of Beaumont or the Beaumont
Economic Development Foundation; and,
WHEREAS a budget has heretofore been presented to the City of
Beaumont for its approval; and,
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Beaumont desires to approve
the budget of the Beaumont Economic Development Foundation for fiscal year
1976.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to enter into an
extension and renewal of the City's contract with the Beaumont Economic
Development Foundation dated October 20, 1972 for the one-year period com-
mencing January 1, 1976 and expiring December 31, 1976, and the appropriate
City official is hereby authorized to make payment under said agreement to
a maximum of $44,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the budget of the Economic Development
Foundation as attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes is
hereby approved.
