RESOLUTION
WBEPFAS, funds have been donated to the City of Beaumont for the
purchase of a permanent piece of art for the Beaumont Public Library; and,
WHEREAS, the Beaumont Library Commission has unanimously voted to
purchase a.piece.of sculpture "Muse" by Charles Umlauf for Two Thousand
and No/100 ($2,000.00) Dollars; and,
WHEREAS, competitive bidding procedures need not be complied with
on the purchase of this sculpture in that it is a unique one -source item;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the appropriate City official is hereby authorized to purchase a piece
of sculpture "Muse" by Charles Umlauf for the price of $2,000.00.
