WHEREAS, only one bid was received for the furnishing of
forty-eight (48) 8" dresser bell joint clamps for stock inventory
of the Water Department; and,
WHEREAS,,Dresser Manufacturing Company submitted a bid in
the amount of $28.17 for each 8" dresser bell joint clamp_.'or a total
of One Thousand.Three Hundred Fifty -Two- and 16/100 ($1,352.16) Dol -
lays for the 48 8" dresser bell joint clamps for stock inventory of
the -Water Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by Dresser Manufacturing Company is the only bid received and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE,.BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Dresser Manufacturing Company in the amount of $28.17
each,,or total of $1,352.16, be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and
the appropriate City official is hereby authorized to make payment for
said 8" dresser bell joint clamps upon acceptable delivery.
