BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and
directed to enter into and execute industrial district agree-
ments for a seven (7) year period beginning January .l, 1976,
and ending December 31, 1982, with the following industries:
Bethlehem Steel Corporation; The Goodyear Tire and Rubber
Company; E. I. DuPont de Nemours and Company; Houston Chemical
Corporation, a division of PPG -Industries; Mobil Oil Corpora-
tion; Gulf States Utilities Company; Texasgulf, Inc.; and
Swift Chemicals, a division of Esmark, Inc.; with total payments
to the City by the above industries during the seven (7) year
term of the contracts to be not less than Twenty-one Million
Six Hundred Thousand ($21,600,000.00) Dollars; and that the
City Clerk be authorized and.directed to -attest to same and
to affix the Seal of the City thereto.
