WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and Holloway Sand & Gravel Com-
pany, Inc. entered into a certain agreement dated January 10, 1974,
whereby Holloway Sand & Gravel Company,. Inc. agreed to furnish all
labor, superintendence, material and equipment to perform all work
necessary to the construction of Environmental Protection Agency Pro-
ject No. WPC-TEX-975 of the Sanitary Sewer Improvements Capital Im-
provements Program Projects; and,
WHEREAS, three change orders to EPA Project No. WPC-TEX-975
have been proposed, the purposes of these change orders being to
transfer elements of Contracts II, III -D, and III -H to III-B,,those
elements being dependent,upon completion of Contract III -B; and, due,
to the current labor strike and.continued delay by the equipment sup-
pliers -for the pumps 'on the lift station, Contract III -B's completion
date will be extended from November 1, 1975 to March 1, 1976;'and,

NOW, THEREFORE,.BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the action of the City Manager in executing the above-described
change orders be and the same is hereby ratified on behalf of the
City of Beaumont, and the action of the City Clerk in attesting to
said change orders is hereby ratified.
