WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of a ninety
(90) day contract for reef oyster shell for various City departments
for the period of December 9, 1975 through March'8, 1976; and,
WHEREAS; Keown Supply Company submitted.a bid for furnishing
s.uch reef.oyster shell for various City departments; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid -sub-
mitted by Keown Supply Company.is the lowest and best bid and -should
be accepted, and that a contract with Keown Supply Company for fur-
nishing reef oyster shell for a 90 -day period should be executed, and
that,the said reef oyster shell'be purchased from Keown Supply Company.;r
NOW, THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF'THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Keown Supply Company be accepted by the City of Beau-
mont, and the.City Manager be, and he.is hereby, authorized to execute
on behalf of the City of Beaumont, a contract with Keown Supply Com-
pany for the furnishing of reef oyster shell for municipal purposes
for the period of December 9,'1975 through March 8, 1976, at the unit
prices as specified in their bid; and the City Clerkis hereby autho-
rized to attest to said contract and to affix the Seal of the City of
Beaumont thereto.
