WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and J.C.N. Pavers, Inc. executed
a certain contract on the 19 day of February, 1974, for the construc-
tion of Phelan Boulevard Phase II, Revenue Sharing Project No. RS -T-11,
and for Dowlen Road from Calder Avenue to Lexington Drive, at 'a total
contract price of $1,414,951.55; and,
WHEREAS, the total actual.cost of this contract was in. -the
amount of $1,440,488.05; and,
WHEREAS, $33,527.04 remains unpaid on said contract based on
actual work performed; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has inspected the work
and has recommended its", -acceptance and final payment in the amount of
$33,527.04 to be made to the contractor based on actual work performed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE..CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City of Beaumont hereby accepts the completion of the afore-
mentioned contract in all particulars and does further authorize the
final payment in the amount of $33,527.04 to the said contractor.
