WHEREAS, on November 14, 1975, the City of Beaumont received
bids for the Mapes Street Participation Project; and,
WHEREAS, Trotti & Thomson, Inc. submitted a bid in the sum of
One Hundred Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Fifteen and No/100
($117,515.00) Dollars for such project; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that the contract
be awarded to Trotti & Thomson;.Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, this is a participation contract in which the'deve-
loper has agreed to pay a portion of the cost of the construction of
the street and has placed,in escrow the sum of Eighty -One Thousand
One Hundred Seventy -Six and 34/100 ($81,176.34) Dollars with the City
of Beaumont which sum is a sufficient.sum of money to cover its part
of the cost of the paving of said street; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid'sub-
mitted by Trotti & Thomson, Inc. is the lowest and best bid and should
be accepted and a contract entered into with Trotti & Thomson, Inc. for
the Mapes Street Participation Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Trotti & Thomson, Inc. be accepted, and the City Manager
be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on behalf of the City of
Beaumont a contract with Trotti & Thomson, Inc.,for the Mapes Street
Participation Project for the sum of $117,515.00; and
BE IT FURTHER.RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized

to attest to said contract and to affix the Seal of the City of Beaumont
thereto.
