WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of turkeys
for City employee Christmas gifts; and,
WHEREAS, Swift Food Service submitted a bid in the amount
of Eight Thousand Eight Hundred and No/100 ($8,800.00) Dollars for
the turkeys for City employee Christmas gifts; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Swift Food Service is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Swift Food Service in the amount of $8,800.00 be
accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City official
is hereby authorized to make payment for said turkeys upon acceptable
delivery.
