R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the City Council considers it to be in the best inte-
rest of the citizens of the City of Beaumont to apply for a grant for
a "Beaumont Regional Crime Laboratory"; and,
WHEREAS, said grant is to be funded in the approximate,amount
of $115,000.00 by the Federal and State governments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager, the Police Chief, the Project Director and the
City Finance Director be and they are hereby, authorized to execute
all necessary documents to make application for a Texas Criminal Jus-
tice Division grant from the Governor's Office of the State of Texas
for a "Beaumont Regional Crime Laboratory".
