R E S 0 L U T I 0'N
WHEREAS, the City Council considers it in the best interest
of the City of Beaumont to apply for a grant entitled "Implementation
Police Records Analysis, Phases I & II", said grant to provide funds
to purchase hardware and software which will provide for the storage
and retrieval of the records of the Beaumont Police Department using
modern, technological equipment and methods; and,
WHEREAS, said grant is to be funded in the approximate amount
of $100,000.00 by the Federal and State governments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager, the Police Chief, the Project Director and the
City Finance Director be and they are hereby, authorized to execute
all necessary documents to make 'application for a Texas Criminal Jus-
tice Division grant from the Governor's Office of the State of Texas.
