WHEREAS, the City Council considers it to be in the best in-
terest of the citizens of the City of Beaumont to apply for a grant
from the Governor's Office of Traffic Safety to provide for the at-
tendance of personnel from the Community Development Department, the
Traffic and Transportation Department, and the Public Works Department
of the City of Beaumont at the "Bicycle/Pedestrian Facility Planning,
Design & Implementation Seminar" to be held December 4-6, 1975; and,
WHEREAS, 100% funding will be requested for this grant from
the Governor's Office of Traffic Safety;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby, authorized to execute all
necessary documents to make application for a grant from the Governor's
Office of Traffic Safety of the State of Texas for the attendance of
staff personnel of the City of_'Beaumont at the "Bicycle/Pedestrian
Facility Planning, Design & Implementation Seminar".
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
