HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 75 394R-rl`5- -6R+', R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, an 1,144.37 square foot tract of land described in "Enclosure 1" to this resolution, and made a part hereof as fully as though copied verbatim herein, acquired for street right of way pur- poses is now considered to be surplus land as to the purpose for which it was acquired; and, WHEREAS, a certain 534.9.square foot tract of land; as de- scribed in "Enclosure 2" to this resolution, which enclosure is made a part hereof as though .copied verbatim herein, is needed for the pub- lic purpose of street right of way for the Sarah -Lavaca Project, Pro- ject No. 11 -ST -121, said -534-9 square foot tract of land being owned by one Alvin Randolph who desires to acquire the tract of land de- scribed in "Enclosure 1" to this resolution; and, WHEREAS, both tracts of land described in "Enclosure 1" and "Enclosure 2" to this resolution have been appraised by qualified ap- praisers as having a market value of One Hundred and No/100 ($100.00) Dollars each; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute such deeds and other legal instruments as may be necessary to effectuate an exchange of the parcel of land described in "'Enclosure 1" to this reso- lutionfor the parcel of land described,in "Enclosure 2" to this resolu- tion, and that no additional consideration for either tract of land be given or received inasmuch as the appriased fair market value of the two tracts of land are identical.
