WHEREAS, informal bids were received for the furnishing of
repair work on City Truck No. 30-0324, a 1966 2 -ton Chevrolet aerial
truck used by the Traffic and Transportation Department and the
Building Maintenance Department; and,
WHEREAS, Utility Equipment Company International, Inc. sub-
mitted an informal bid in the estimated amount of One Thousand Five
Hundred and No/100 ($1,500.00) Dollars for the repair work on City
Truck No. 30-0324; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by Utility Equipment Company International, Inc. is, the lowest
and best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the informal bid of Utility Equipment Company International, Inc.
in the estimated amount of $1,500.00 be accepted by the City of Beau-
mont, and the appropriate City official is hereby authorized to make
payment for said repair work upon acceptable completion.
