WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of an annual
contract for aluminum sulphate for the Water Department for the period
of October 14, 1975 through October 13; 1976; and,
WHEREAS, Allied Chemical Corporation submitted a bid for fur-
nishing such aluminum sulphate for the Water Department; arid,
WHEREAS, the City Council.is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by Allied Chemical Corporation is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted, and that a contract with Allied Chemical Corporation
for furnishing aluminum sulphate for an annual period should be executed,
and that the said aluminum sulphate be purchased from Allied Chemical
Corporation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Allied Chemical Corporation be accepted by the City of
Beaumont, and the City Manager be and he is hereby, authorized to exe-
cute on behalf of the City of Beaumont.,'a contract with Allied Chemical
Corporation for the furnishing of aluminum sulphate for municipal pur-
poses for the period of October -14, 1975 through October 13, 1976, at
the unit prices as specified in their bid; and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized to attest to said contract and to affix the Seal of the City
of Beaumont thereto.
