WHEREAS,,the acquisition of approximately six '(6)' acres
of land on.the Neches River,for the construction of a public
boat ramp facility,.in conjunction with funding from -Texas
Parks and Wildlife Department, is declared to be a municipal,
purpose and is considered in the best -interest of the City of
Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, certain-preliminary..;professional services
precedent to such acquisition are;lnecessary and desirable;
NOW,, THEREFORE', BE,IT!RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY.OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the Legal Department be, and..is hereby,.directed to
retain the following named persons and.firm to render certain
professional services, and is hereby.authorized to.pay for
such services not more th'an.the amounts hereinafter indicated:
(a) Matt Racki, ConsultingEngineer, to survey said site
for a The not exceeding
(b) M. L. Lefler, Jr., to appraise.the fair market value
of said site for a fee not.exceeding.EIGHT AND N0/100 ($800.00)
DOLLARS; and,
(c) Security. Title Company to provide title information
and a title policy at fees regulated by state law.
