WHEREAS, :the City of Beaumont intends to acquire title
to approximately six (6) acres of land at the end of Pine
Street and abutting the Neches River in the City of Beaumont,
Jefferson .County, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the State of Texas proposes to construct,
maintain, and operate a boat launching -ramp upon said tract
of land together with a parking area in conjunction therewith;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager, Howard McDaniel, be, and he is
hereby, authorized to execute a contract with the State of
Texas acting by and through the Texas Parks and Wildlife
Commission for the construction of,said boat ramp and related
facilities.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and he
is hereby,authorized to attest to said contract.
