WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and J.C.N. Pavers, Inc. executed
a certain contract on December 17, 1974, for the construction of the
Bourbon, Basin, Rampart, Beale, and St. Louis Streets Assessment Pav-
ing Project No. 6, at a total contract price of $320,923.40; and,
WHEREAS, after the construction was completed on this project,
the actual total cost of the project was $319,841.20; and,
WHEREAS, the sum of $288,216.18 has previously been paid to
J.C.N. Pavers, Inc. based on actual work performed; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has inspected the work and recom-
mends its acceptance and the final payment of $31,625.02 to the con-
tractor based on actual work performed;.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City of Beaumont hereby accepts the completion of the afore-
said contract in all particulars and does further authorize the final
payment of $31,625.02 to the said contractor.
