WHEREAS, on June 11, 1974, the City of Beaumont, Texas, did
file with the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain weed
lien in the amount of $17.44, including costs of recording, covering
Lot 13, Block 14, Home to Bowenville Addition to the City of Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas, which said liens are recorded in the M & L
Records of said County in Volume 1530, Page 217; and,
WHEREAS,' on June 11, 1974, the City of Beaumont, Texas, did
file with the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain weed
lien in the amount of $14.44, including costs of recording, covering
Lot 12, Block 14, Home to Bowenville Addition to the City of Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas, which said liens are recorded in the M & L
Records of said County in Volume 1530, Page 216; and,
WHEREAS, on June 11, 1974, the City of Beaumont, Texas, did
file with the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain weed
lien in the amount of $17.44, including costs of recording, covering
Lot 1, Block 14, Home to Bowenville Addition to the City of Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas, which said liens are recorded in the M & L
Records of said County in Volume 1530, Page 215; and,
WHEREAS, James G. Cobb is the owner of said above properties
and desires to pay to the City of Beaumont the monies represented by
said weed liens and have same released to him;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
THAT Ken Ritter, Mayor, be and he is hereby, authorized to execute and
deliver to the said James G. Cobb a release of the above-described weed
liens for and in consideration of the sums aforementioned, receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized
to attest to same and to affix the Seal of the Citv of Beaumont thereto.
