WHEREAS, only one bid was received for the furnishing of four
(4) typewriters for the Central Dictation System for the Police Depart-
ment; and,
WHEREAS, IBM Corporation submitted this bid in the amount of
Two Thousand Five Hundred Twenty and No/100 ($2,520.00) Dollars for
the four typewriters for the Central Dictation System for the Police
Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by IBM Corporation is the only bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of IBM Corporation in the amount of $2,520.00 be accepted
by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City official is hereby
authorized to make payment out of funds from Criminal Justice Grant
No. AC -75-B05-3028 for said typewriters upon acceptable delivery.
