WHEREAS, bids were received for contracts for the furnishing
of road materials for all City departments; and,
WHEREAS, the following bids were submitted:
UVALDE ROCK ASPHALT COMPANY
Six -Months Contract: August 13, 1975 through February 12, 1976.
Grade 2, Type B Aggregate@ $3.13/Ton with Maximum 6% Increase.
Grade 4, Type B Aggregate @ $3.24/Ton with*Maximum 6% Increase.
WHITE'S MINES
Six -Months Contract: August 13, 1975 through February 12, 1976.
Types A, B, and C Cold Mix Asphalt @ $6.00/Ton with Maximum 10% Increase.
KE'OWN SUPPLY COMPANY
Six -Months Contract: August 13, 1975 through February 12, 1976.
Limestone Bose Material @ $6.48/Ton with Maximum 15% Increase.
Annual Contract: August 13, 1975 through_ August 12, 1976.
Hot Mix -Cold Lay @ $15.00/fon with `Maximum 18.5% Increase.
Sand -Shell Mix @ $6.85/Ton with Maximum 8% Increase.

Ninety -Day Contract: August 13, 1975 through November 12, 1975.
Reef -Oyster Shell @ $5.05/Cubic Yard.
C & S TRUCK LINE', INC.
Annual Contract: August 13, 1975 through August 12, 1976.
Pit Sand @ $.75 (75�)/Cubic Yard with No Increase.
GULF STATES ASPHALT COMPANY. INC.
Six -Months Contract: August 13, 1975 through February 12, 1976.
Liquid Asphalts:
Mc -2 @ $.35 (35¢)/Gallon with Maximum 50% Increase.
Mc l @ $.35 (35�)/Gallon with Maximum 50% Increase.
@ $.32 (32¢)/Gallon with Maximum 50% Increase.
OA175 @ $.2650/Gallon with Maximum 50% Increase.
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids sub-
mitted by the above-mentioned companies are the best bids and should be
accepted;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of the aforementioned companies in the aforementioned
contract amounts be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and that the
City Manager be authorized to execute each contract as stated above
with the respective companies for the road materials, and that the
City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said contracts and to
affix the Seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
