R E'S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of an annual
contract for passenger and steel overhead cord truck tires for the
Fleet Maintenance Department for use on various City vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, Modica Bros. Tire Company submitted an annual bid
for passenger tires in the amounts as listed in the contract, and
Goodyear Tire Company submitted an annual bid for steel overhead cord
truck tires in the amounts as listed in the contract for the Fleet
Maintenance Department for use on various City vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids sub-
mitted -by Modica Bros. Tire Company and Goodyear Tire Company are the
best bids and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids for annual contracts of Modica Bros. Tire Company and
Goodyear Tire Company as stated 'in the contracts for the period of
August 5, 1975, through August 4, 1976, be accepted by the City of
Beaumont, and the City Manager be,.and he is hereby, authorized to
execute on behalf of the City of Beaumont, a contract with each of the
above-mentioned companies for passenger tires and steel overhead cord
truck tires as specified in their bids;'and.the City Clerk is hereby
authorized to attest to said contract and to affix the Seal of the City
of Beaumont thereto.
