WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of twenty-
five (25) fire hydrants for the Water Department; and,
WHEREAS, American Darling Valve & Manufacturing Company,
Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of Six Thousand Three Hundred
Seventy -Three and 50/100 ($6,373.50) Dollars for the twenty-five
fire hydrants for the Water Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by American Darling Valve & Manufacturing Company, Inc.
is the lowest bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of American Darling Valve & Manufacturing Company, Inc.
in the amount of $6,373.50 be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and
the appropriate City official is hereby authorized to make payment
for said twenty-five fire hydrants upon acceptable delivery.
