WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and D & D Construction Company
entered into a certain agreement to furnish all labor, superintendence,
material and equipment to perform all work necessary to the construction
of Phase I for improvements at the Beaumont Municipal Airport, the same
being Project No. ADAP 7-48-0240-01; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. l to said contract has been proposed,
under which said change order, the following changes will be made:
and,
1. Substitution of 100 feet of 24" pipe, Item 701-2,
for 100 feet of bitch "M". The pipe would make it
possible to salvage two airplane stalls. FAA runway
and taxiway clearance requirements will be met.
2. Substitute lime rock base material for shell base
material. The proposed lime rock will meet FAA Spec.
P-211. Engineers feel lime rock will provide a better
base material.
3. Deletion of 178 C.Y. of unclassified excavation.
Will be replaced by 100 feet of pipe in Part A.
WHEREAS, due to credit for substitutions, the total contract
cost in regard to this change order will not be affected and the original
contract sum of $510,868.00 will not be changed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on
behalf of the City of Beaumont the above described change order to, the
original contract, and that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to at-
test to same and to affix the Seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
day of 1975.
