WHEREAS, informal bids were received for the furnishing of
twelve (12) 8" X 6" MJ;^_j,t.ees with accessors, twenty-four (24) 6" X 6"
,MJ swivel tees with accessors, six (6) 8" MJ 90 degree bends with
accessors, and twenty-four (24) complete 54" valve boxes, all for
stock for the Water Department; and,
WHEREAS, the following bids were submitted:
24 - 6" X 6" MJ Swivel
Tees with Accessors
24 - 54" Complete Valve
Boxes
12 - 8" X 6" MJ Tees
with Accessors
6 - 8" MJ 90 Degree Bends
with Accessors
and,
Rohan Company $1,740.00
Western Pipe & Supply $ 439.20
Utility Supply $ 948.00
Utility Supply $ 336.00
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids sub-
mitted by Rohan Company, Western Pipe &'Supply, and Utility Supply are
the lowest and best bids in their respective areas and should be accep-
ted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Rohan Company in the amount of $1,740.00, of Western
Pipe and Supply in the amount of $439.20, and of Utility Supply in the
amounts of $948.00 and $336.00, be accepted by the City of Beaumont,
and the appropriate City official is hereby authorized to make payment
for said warehouse stock supplies for the Water Department upon accep-
table delivery.
