WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont recovered judgment against MIKE
LOPEZ, ET AL; SAMUEL J. GASAWAY, ET AL; THURSTON HOUSE, ET AL;
MARY BALSTON, ET AL; LOVELLA LINDER, ET AL; WILLIE P. WILLIAMS,
ET AL; JULIAN A. MAZZOLA, ET AL; JOHN CARABIN, ET AL; PAUL SAM,
ET AL; DONALD H. TAFT, ET AL; ROBERT LEE STOKER, ET AL, plus
interest thereon at the rate of six (6%) percent per annum from the date thereof,
together with costs of Court; and
WHEREAS, the entire amount of the judgments adjudged in favor of the
City of Beaumont, together with interest and costs have been tendered and paid
to the City of Beaumont, and the City Council is of the opinion that a release of
the said judgments and all liens acquired by virtue of said judgments should be
executed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT;
That the City Manager, be and he is hereby authorized, for and in consideration
of the payment of said judgments, with interest and costs, -to; execute and deliver
an instrument to MIKE LOPEZ; SAMUEL J..GASAWAY; THURSTON HOUSE; MARY
BALSTON; LOVELLA LINDER; WILLIE P. WILLIAMS; JULIAN A. MAZZOLA;
JOHN CARABIN; PAUL SAM; DONALD H. TAFT and ROBERT LEE STOKER, their
heirs and assigns, releasing any rights and interest acquired by the City of Beaumont,
by virtue of said above mentioned judgment; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized
to attest to said instrument and to affix the Seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
