R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Vehicle No. 50-0664, a 1972 Alice Chalmers 12G dozer,
is in need of an engine job at an estimated cost of Five Thousand Five
Hundred and No/100 ($5,500.00) Dollars; and,
WHEREAS, Fogle Equipment Company, the dealer for this equipment
is the only feasible repairer of said equipment;. and,
WHEREAS, Vehicle No. 60-0612, a 1970 International Harvester in
the Solid Waste Department is in need of repairs to its automatic trans-
mission at an estimated cost of Two Thousand and No/100 ($2,000.00) Dol-
lars ; and,
WHEREAS, Kinsel Ford, Inc. is the only area specialist on this
type of automatic transmission; and,
WHEREAS, both.these vehicles -are critical to the operation of
our Solid Waste Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to have the
necessary repairs made to the two vehicles described above, and Fogle
Equipment Company and Kinsel Ford, Inc. be authorized to make said re-
pairs, and the appropriate City officials pay for said repairs estimated
to be $5,500.00 for the Alice Chalmers dozer and $2,000.00 for the Inter-
national Harvester truck as emergency repairs.
