R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of uniforms for
various field departments, and the Fire Department and the Police Depart-
ment; and,
WHEREAS, Factory Sales of Houston submitted a bid in the amount
of $24,392.26 for work uniforms for the various field departments, in
the amount of $10,465.00 for uniforms for the Fire Department, and in
the amount of $15,365.50 for uniforms for the Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids sub-
mitted by Factory Sales of Houston are the lowest and best bids and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF.THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Factory Sales of Houston in the amount of $243,392.26
for work uniforms for the various.field departments, -in the amount of
$10,465.00 for uniforms for the Fire Department, and in the amount of
$15,365.50 for uniforms for the Police Department be accepted by the
City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City Official is hereby autho-
rized to make payment for said uniforms upon acceptable delivery.
