R E S '0 L U T I' '0' N
WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of an annual
contract for liquid chlorine for the Water Department for the period
beginning May 1, 1975, and ending April 30, 1976; and,
WHEREAS, Thompson -Hayward Chemical Company submitted a bid for
furnishing such liquid chlorine; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by Thompson -Hayward Chemical Company is the lowest and best
bid and should be accepted; and that a contract with Thompson -Hayward
Chemical Company for furnishing liquid chlorine should be executed,
and that the said liquid chlorine be purchased from Thompson -Hayward
Chemical Company;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Thompson -Hayward Chemical Company be accepted and the
City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on behalf of
the City of Beaumont, a contract with Thompson -Hayward Chemical Com-
pany for the furnishing of liquid chlorine for municipal purposes for
the period of May 1, 1975, to April 30, 1976, at the unit prices as
specified in their bid; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
attest to said contract and to affix the Seal of the City of Beaumont
thereto.
