WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of a ninety
(90) day contract for aluminum sulphate for the Water Production Depart-
ment for the period of July 1, 1975 through September 30, 1975; and,
WHEREAS, Allied Chemical Corporation submitted a bid for fur-
nishing such aluminum sulphate for.the Water Production Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by Allied Chemical Corporation is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted, and that a contract with Allied Chemical Corporation
for furnishing aluminum sulphate for a 90 -day period should be executed,
and that the said aluminum sulphate be purchased from Allied Chemical
Corporation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Allied Chemical Corporation be accepted and the City
Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on behalf of the
City of Beaumont, a contract with Allied Chemical Corporation for the
furnishing of aluminum sulphate for municipal purposes for the period
of July 1, 1975 through September 30, 1975, at the.unit prices as
specified in their bid; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
attest to said contract and to affix the Seal of the City of Beaumont
thereto.
