WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of a ninety (90)
day contract for road materials for the Street Department;.and,
WHEREAS, the following bids were submitted for road materials
for the Street Department:

WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids sub-
mitted by Keown Supply Company and by Gulf States Asphalt are the low-
est and best bids and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Keown Supply Company and Gulf States Asphalt in the
above-mentioned amounts be accepted.by the City of Beaumont, and that
the City Manager be authorized to execute a 90 -day contract with Keown
Supply Company and Gulf States Asphalt for the road materials mentioned
above, and that the City Clerk attest to said contracts and affix the
Seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
