WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and J.C.N. Pavers, Inc. entered
into a certain agreement dated December 17, 1974, by which J.C.N. Pavers,
Inc. agreed to furnish all labor, superintendence, material and equip-
ment to perform all work necessary to the construction of the Virginia
Estates Assessment Paving Project, which include the streets of Bourbon,
Basin, Rampart and St. Louis; and
WHEREAS, a supplemental agreement, being Supplemental Agreement
No. 1, to said agreement has been proposed providing for the change in
the size and location of the proposed storm sewer in St. Louis Street
from Rampart Street to the Usan Ditch; and,
WHEREAS, this supplemental agreement is part of the contract
between the City of Beaumont and J.C.N. Pavers, Inc.,. dated December
17, 1974, and is to be covered by the bonds, insurance and indemnity
agreement of said original contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on be-
half of the City of Beaumont the above-described Supplemental Agreement
No. 1 to the original contract, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized
to attest to same and to affix the Seal of the City -of Beaumont .thereto.
