BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute an Assign-
ment of Judgment Lien heretofore filed by the City of Beaumont vs.
George Green, et al, in Cause No. D-95,405 in the 136th District Court
of Jefferson County, Texas, to S. Leleux.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF JEFFERSON X
THAT the City of Beaumont, in consideration of the sum of ONE
HUNDRED SIXTY-NINE AND 16/100 ($169.16) DOLLARS, to them in hand paid
by S. LELEUX, do hereby transfer and assign to the said S. LELEUX its
interest in a certain judgment recovered in a suit styled the City of
Beaumont vs. George Green, et al,.Cause No. D-95,405, in the 136th Dis-
trict Court of Jefferson County, Texas, on February 3, 1972, against
GEORGE GREEN and M. C. CARTER, for the sum of ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-NINE
AND 16/100 ($169.16) DOLLARS, and further found in Volume 40, Page 102
of the Abstract of Judgment Records of the County Clerk of Jefferson
County, Texas, with full authority to demand and receive the amount of
the City of Beaumont's interest to his own use, and upon payment thereof,
to give discharge for the same; providing, however, the City of Beaumont
does not guarantee the payment of such judgment, and in case of the non-
payment of it, or any of it, no recourse shall be had on the City of
Beaumont.
And the City of Beaumont authorized said S. LELEUX in its name,
but at his own cost and charge, to sue upon, or to sue out execution and
all other legal process for the enforcement of said judgment.
And the City of Beaumont does covenant that the City of Beaumont
will not collect or receive the amount of its interest in the judgment,
or any part thereof, nor release or discharge itsinterest in the judg-
ment except upon the request of S. LELEUX.
