WHEREAS, as per a contract dated November 5, 1974, for the
amount of $11,731.50, between the City of Beaumont and F. Gatlin
Asphalt, the contractor has completed the hot -mix asphaltic concrete
surfacing of Mariposa Street from South Street to Cedar Street; and,
WHEREAS, the actual cost of the construction of the hot -mix
surfacing was.$13,931.60, based upon unit prices; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends that said improvements
Qualify for acceptance for permanent maintenance and the City Council
is of the opinion that said improvements should be accepted and main-
tained by the City of Beaumont
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the hot -mix .asphaltic concrete surfacing on Mariposa Street from
South Street to Cedar Street be, and the same are hereby, accepted by
the City, of Beaumont and shall be continuously maintained by said City,
and that final payment be made to the contractor in the amount of
$13,931.60.
