BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager, Kenneth R. Devero, be and he is hereby, autho-
rized to execute all necessary documents to make application for a
Texas Criminal Justice Division grant from the Governor's Office of
the State of Texas; said application for grant being provided for under
the provisions, regulations, and laws of the Law Enforcement Assistance
Administration, the State of. Texas, and the South East Texas Regional
Planning Commission; said application for grant to be titled "Automated
.Reporting System - Beaumont Police Department", and funds for said grant
to be for -the purchase and maintenance of dictating equipment for the
use of the Beaumont Police Department; said funds to be provided in their
entirety by the TCJD and the LEAA.according to the regulations set out in
the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 and as amended in
1973, and according to the regulations set out by the TCJD, Office of the
Governor, State of Texas, and the LEAA.
