WHEREAS, bids were recieved for the furnishing of road materials
(aggregate, limestone base material, cold mix asphalt, liquid asphalt,
hot mix -cold lay asphalt, reef oyster shell, and sand -shell mix) for
various City Departments for a 90 -day period beginning February 11, 1975,
and ending May 12, 1975; and,
WHEREAS, the following bids were submitted for the supplying of
road materials:

WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids sub-
mitted by Keown Supply Company, Gulf States Asphalt, and White's Mines
are the lowest and best bids and should.be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Keown Supply Company, Gulf States Asphalt and White's
Mines in the above-mentioned amounts be accepted by the City of Beaumont,
and the appropriate City Official is hereby authorized to make payment
for said road materials upon acceptable delivery.
