WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and Holloway Sand & Gravel Company,
Inc. entered into a certain agreement to furnish all labor, superinten-
dence, material and equipment to perform all work necessary to the con-
struction of CIP Project 11 -SU -03, which is Contract II' of Project WPC-
TEX-975 of the sanitary sewer improvements; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 to said contract has been proposed,
under which change order the net effect would be an additional expendi-
ture of $5,007.78 for a total revised contract cost of $1,0391,628.18,
which amount of $5,007.78 is available within the CIP construction bud-
get; and,
WHEREAS, under which change order, these additions include an
additional manhole over an oil pipe line and extend cast iron pipe cross-
ing of Willow Marsh Bayou due to the construction of a new bridge over
the bayou;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on be-
half of the City of Beaumont the above described change order to the
original contract, and that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest
to same and to affix the Seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
