WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and Sabine Consolidated, Inc.
executed a certain contract on February 12, 1974,. for the construction
of Contract II, CIP Project 13-WU-05, which consists of Line 1 - 24" -
Major Drive Main - Gladys to Washington Boulevard, Line 2-16" - Washing-
ton Boulevard Main - West of 23rd Street to Wescalder, and Line 3 - 6" -
Major Drive - North and South of Washington Boulevard, at a.total con-
tract price of Eight Hundred Seventy -Two Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety -
Three and 55/100 ($872,793.55) Dollars; and,
WHEREAS, the City's consulting engineers have inspected the
work and recommend its acceptance in final payment to the contractor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City of Beaumont hereby accepts the completion of the afore-
said contract in all particulars and further authorizes final payment
of Forty -Three Thousand One Hundred Twenty and 17/100 ($43,120.17) Dol-
lars to the contractor in accordance with said contract and changes.
