WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and H. B. Neild & Sons, Inc.
entered into a certain agreement to furnish all labor, superintendence,
material and equipment to perform all work necessary to the construction
of CIP Project 11-WU-01, which is the Water Utilities Service Center; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 3 to said contract has been proposed,
under which said change order, the following changes will be made:
and,
1. Revisions to the ice machine room, including
relocation of lights, electrical outlets, and in-
creased door size to accommodate a larger machine
as purchased by the City of Beaumont. Additional
cost will be $436.00.
2. Omission of brick screen wall to permit better
access to outside air conditioning units. There
will be a credit of $142.50 for this item.
3. Additional telephone outlets in a number of
rooms which had been requested by the Water Depart-
ment. Additional cost will be $242.00.
WHEREAS, the net effect of this change order would be the addi-
tional expenditure of $535.00 for a total revised contract cost of
$712,337.23, which amount of $535.00 is available within the construc-
tion budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on
behalf of the City of Beaumont the above described change order to the
original contract, and that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
attest to same and to affix the Seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
